Show off those 82/83's
1986 version, sweet little shooter
Nice 82, Colt. I'd love to add an 82/83 to the stable.
Here are a few of mine, one in a Sticky holster for my EDC., for inside the belt the other is an ouside the belt I use for open carry.
Very nice !
They all look good.
My first CZ82. I gave my brother my second one.
At one time I owned 5 of em. but I let my friends talk me out of 2 of them.
I think they were the best bang for your buck, back when ya could get them
delivered for around $200.00
There is a Makarov in the pic for good measure.
Here's a pic of my 83 - an Israeli police department trade-in.
A sweet shooter that I need to get out more!
I have a 82 I bought from Wideners a couple of years ago and would like to get it refinished. Anyone had this done and can you lead me to good work for a good price. I only paid $220 for it so I don't ant to sink a lot in it. I was thinking maybe a hard chrome refinish.
Most of you guys did well with some decent finishes still on your guns. I got a CZ82 that looked awful and the marking that Century arms did on it made it even worse. I stripped all the paint of and cold blued it to hold me over until i can put a nice ceracote or similar finish on it. My grips both have a chip right at the safety lever. not the prettiest gun i own but one of the best dang shooting ones i have. great groups and runs very well.
I stripped and cold blued one. It wasn't too hard. Getting it back together was not as hard as many say.
Jeeper, that is one fine looking example. It looks like the previous owner took very good car of it.
Mine has the import marks on the bottom of the slide, so that you have to look for it. I hate it when the importer puts it on the slide flats like a billboard.
I'm not going repost...so here is my CZ-82 with my CZ-85 Combat... http://www.cztalk.com/f5/show-off-your-cz-pistolas-35/index4.html#post1419
I got my 82 as a U-Fix-Em from Century for $129. The ad said complete but "needs repair", so I took a chance. The only thing wrong with it was the hole that holds the left grip screw to the frame was wallowed out and the grip would fall off. I got a set of grips from a guy online who sold them to me for $10. He had painted them with pickup bedliner paint, which gave them a softer feel and a very nice look. It is very accurate but a little picky about ammo. Shoots Silver Bear all day long, but Wolf will fail to eject at least once per magazine. There is some holster wear, but a great find for $139 plus shipping.
grandpa1466, you did well. I would love to get u-fix-ems from CAI but I do not have a FFL or C&R.
For those wanting to refinish them, http://www.hipointfirearmsforums.com/forum/f280/if-i-can-rust-blue-you-can-too-302971/index6.html is worth reading
I have my C&R. Now I just need money to use it more.
I had one those and was my first handgun.Damn thing was reliable as hell.I'd like to get another one someday.
Mine was nice and clean, came with the more modern police type holster.
AM I the only old guy with eyesight problems ? Get a better front sight !! I love the CZ-82 , it was my first C&R purchase, but I have to put on a FO front blade. Put it on target and "bang" !
