My Czechpoint Sporter was bought (nib) in spring 2019. The total round count is 3,000, because I keep a piece of each used box in a labeled baggy and count them.

There hasn't been a single issue. Mostly the pair of polymer mags are used, but sometimes the metal Czech mag also.

All ammo is "Wolf (mixed brands)", Barnaul, Tula.

Manca shoots the HK-91 both left and right-handed; I have two PTR-91s (HK clones), My PTR's have only moderate recoil, by the way.

These people usually fly to Vegas for the Shot Show.

Well, the fans might have migrated to the AKfiles , which is quite tolerant of these very high quality guns chambered in 7.62x39.

Even a crusty, cynical Moderator (there) recommends the 'true Czech' VZ 58. .

Do any of you VZ-58 enthusiasts read chat about these on AKfiles? There's something I'm overlooking----.

Even Original CZ's VZ-58 forum is pretty dead.

People must have defected to the AKfiles, and the astute gun knowledge of many of those guys (many guns besides AKMs, even HK/PTR) persuaded me to buy the 58 in 2019.


Well...VZ-58 fans must have defected to the AKfiles. That website is where I learned how utterly reliable they are.
