I have a relatively new CZ 97BD (~ 6 months) and have fired 350 rounds. So far I've only used PMC Bronze 45A 230 gr FMJ ammunition. The problem is that at about the 50-round point after a good cleaning, and specifically of the feed ramp, the nose of a round catches on the feed ramp, preventing the round from fully chambering. It's happened more than once.

My thought is to try another ammo manufacturer. Has anyone had this problem and identified a solution?

same issue on several magazines? i would try another ammo brand before anything else.

Thanks. I've used both mags but haven't kept track against rounds jamming. I'll do that next. If the result is common to both, do you have an alt manufacturer you'd recommend?

i haven't shot 45 acp in a while but i used to have good luck with Fiocchi. did you purchase it used? might be time for some new mag springs and followers. i just saw a YT video for the CZ 97b. lovely handgun.

Fiocchi (one of the cleanest)
Federal (Syntech is best in my opinion but all Federal is good)
Sig Sauer
Remington or Remington/UMC

I use a Dymo labeler to identify my mags. IF there is a malfunction, at least you can be certain which mag is in use and then figure out if it's a magazine issue OR a something else.
