Hey guys new to the forum, also new to CZ firearms. I'm looking into picking up a cz-P09 was wondering if anybody can give out some pros and cons on the weapon? Any issues that are common or likes dislikes about it?

- CZs have low bore axis
- Nitriding is a coating
- Cold hammer forged barrels are better/more accurate/longer lasting
- Confusing tight tolerances with a tight fit (they are most definitely not the same thing nor one necessary for the other)
- Reloaders talking about runout (most have no idea how to really check it)
- etc
My son says, "Dad, that ship has sailed" and he's right. One person, understanding the technical definitions, doesn't stand an ice-cube's-catch-in-boiling-water of changing how a word or phrase is used commonly by the public. It's a losing battle. As an engineer with professional knowledge of some of these topics, it's like nails dragging on a chalkboard

Wow, what a judgemental crowd. I wasn't suggesting they are the same in every way. They are basically the same duty weapon size with a reduction in weight with the polymer. I understand the omega trigger and internals and do my own gunsmith work. The internal enhancements from Cajun Gun Works make a great gun better. If you looked at their website they explain the parts available for each CZ pistol. And, as you so observed, each pistol is different in some way. I never said ALL parts interchange.No, they're not even close.
The firing pin, firing pin spring, and hammer spring are the only parts that interchange. The entire trigger mechanism is different, the recoil spring is different, the slides don't interchange, and even the barrel to slide lock up is completely different.
You would be right if you were talking about the SP-01 Phantom.
