I am a new member as of today. Can anybody please explain the difference between the CZ USA Compact 9mm 3.9" barrel and the CZ 75 P-01 9mm. 3.8” barrel? I see hardly any difference, and looking at videos on You Tube hasn't helped much. I have a full size CZ 75 P-01, my first handgun, which I purchased several years ago at Martin Retting in Culver City, California. I decided I'd like to own a compact handgun, and after evaluating several alternatives decided if it ain't broke, don't fix it - meaning, stay with the CZ I like so much. I prefer something I can shoot at the range with reasonable accuracy while still carry, even if a somewhat smaller pistol would be be for concealed carry.

The compact is all steel and a few ounces heavier, the P-01 is a steel slide, alloy frame and a few ounces lighter. Go for the P-01. Safeties are also different.

Thank you, Ron. I bought a P-01 about six weeks ago. Paul
