New on this forum, but I guess all of us are somewhat new here. Only CZ product I have is a bastard child called the CZ2008. I think it's the best thing ever produced in it's class. Lighter, and more compact than an AK, and much more accurate. Excellent fit and finish, and a great collapsible stock. The bolt hold open on last shot is great too. Under 100 yards for soft targets I'll depend on my Sub2K40. All else out to 300 yds calls for my CZ2008. Beyond 300 yds I'll just hunker down and keep me and my CZ's mouth shut. Another thing I like is the mag and mag catch. You'll never see a mag fall out like on an AR or M-14 clone, or any other rifle that seats the mag with a straight push up. There is a reason for rocking that mag into place like the AK design. Very positive lock.

Absolutely. They do it that way so you can get leverage to force the spring loaded bullets up against that closed bolt, otherwise, you'd never get the mag seated.;)

Try it on a Saiga S12, you'll see why its a REALLY good thing.:D
Yep. An absolute necessity on AK variants since they don't have a bolt hold open device. Since the VZ.58 and the CZ2008 do (a manual hold open button, and a last shot magazine follower hold open) , it is just a welcome feature. Of course, if you are doing a tactical reload, it does make it much easier to seat the mag.
