Czechmate...how much you finding them for?

I found a dealer about an hour and a half away, that has a new Czechmate. They had a price of $3300 on it. Whoa!! Too much, I say. The guy does the old car dealer trick of, "I'll go ask my manager". He comes back with $3000! Nope!
I thought that I have seen them for $2600-$2700, or thereabouts. Last year, maybe.
It is a VERY nice handgun! Very nice! I had a chance to shoot a Les Baer 1911 Monolith Heaveyweight recently. Holy moly! I know, apples to oranges. That Baer runs $2170 plus transfer. Tempting! But, I really want a Czechmate. For $2600, I just might! Decisions, decisions...

If you really want it, get it!

I just looked it up. It looks like a serious Open Class pistol ready to go!

Are you an Open Class shooter with the skill level that can push this gun to the limits???

Not an open class shooter. But I can push my 75 TS (standard model TS) to the limits...mostly.
No, I just enjoy a really accurate gun, and try to do the best I can with it.
I also want a S&W 952-2 long slide. But, they are long gone and selling for twice that of the Czechmate, in some instances. I actually had a chance to buy a new one
(952-2 LS) a few years back. Brand new in the aluminum Presentation case, for $1800. Didn't do it. Really wish I had.
Hey, this is starting to sound familiar...

Believe me I know that feeling, passing and regretting later! Sometime there are outside factors in the decision that we forget down the road. When I was still active duty at the cop shop I purchased a Mac 10, full auto .45 ACP for $600.00 from another cop. When I retired I sold it to another cop for $650.00, but NOW they go for $5500.00 or more, and that wasn't that long ago! Then there was the Vincent Black Shadow, the 1959 Bugeye Sprite, and the list goes on ad nauseam!
