Well, no one started one yet. I was gonna put A-ssault rifle thread, but I never assaulted anyone with mine. Bring them on. U.S. made, Commie, Brit, or whatever. Mods to the guns etc.

Most recent addition to the group at Xmas. A DPMS AR-15 "Flatop" carbine. It is a beater forme. Not the most expensive model. Doesn't have the forward assist and dust cover that the purists have to have. But for the $, it was well worth it. Has a 3X9X40 Simmons on it. Now sports a red dot.



The late 70s vintage Colt AR-15 SP1 with bayo mounted, even have a Col marked bipod for it. Doesn't get used much. Even have the old triangular forend/guards for it. Mostly for paper punching with handloaded .223. Sorry for the bad pics. Gotta take some new ones of other guns.

Not really for HD, but in the semi rifle category, I have a couple. Bought my two ARs after the last two elections...

The Delton Light Sporter. $650 at CalRanch.

And the Bushmaster 20" A1 from '08. It came with A2 round hand guards, but an A1 rear sight. I put the triangular guards on, and it looks and feels just like the one Uncle Sam let me play with from '86-'91, except that it's missing the happy switch.

An odd duck. A Sporter SKS, takes AK mags, has no slot on the bolt for stripper clips.

It came in a Tapco stock, I put wood on it, then I found the actual Sporter thumbhole stock.

Nice rifles Ajole. I had a Hakim and an FN49 for a while. Both in 8mm Mauser.

Never had a Garand. Would like to. Did have an M1A1, Chinese made for a while. It was nice but heavy.

How about a .308 cal, H&K G3 kit on a U.S. receiver. H&K 91 clone. Got a 3X9X40 on it now cause I can't see with the peeper sights anymore.



Oh yeah! Even a HiPoint 995 carbine in 9 mil.

Some mods I did to my DPMS rifle. And I said I would never "hang" a bunch of stuff on a carbine if I got one. Well, the laser/light/foregrip combo came off one gun. The 3X12X40 "Cateye" lighted reticle scpe came off another gun. And the quad-rail was bought new. Now the gun is heavy as hell, as I expected. The bipod is not attached or it would be heavier. Got the scope on zero at 30 yds. Didn't go long cause I ran outta light. Laser is still a couple of inches off. Don't have a wrench of the right size to adjustt it yet.

Yup. An Aero Precision lower with a Spikes magwell adapter, and an RRA upper.
