Wondering about oil vs grease . i come from CMP type shooting of garlands and M-14 type rifles. Where you use grease on sliding parts i.e. long sliding parts and roller parts. Just wondering what individual members use on what. Being new to CZs I’m inclined to use side grease instead of oil. What is everyone else doing ?

CZS2 Carry: Lucas white lithium grease on slide, barrel, and few sliding parts after cleaning, after every trip to range. 3-in One oil, very little drop from a needle dispenser, on a few springs once every 3 to 5th day at range. Pro-Shot CLP lightly oiled patch once thru barrel after cleaning (with Hoppes #9 bore solvent) every 500 or so rounds. Im not what you call a proffessional.

After I thoroughly clean my pistol, I first apply Slick 50, let it set a bit, then wipe off the excess. Then I apply the grease or oil.

Slick 50 is a many-decades-old remedy for aging car engines - ones that are worn to the point that they have begun to consume oil. The Slick 50 is absorbed into the cylinder liners, thus greatly reducing the oil loss.

Same thing applies to gun parts. Slick 50 causes the lubricants to remain on the surface of moving parts and do what they are designed to do - lubricate. Gunpower residue does not adhere to Slick 50, which means less of that residue gunks up the pistol's working parts.

Just my $0.02 worth.
