"Old P-09" vs the P-09 Nocturne

I took my P-09 out yesterday and went through a couple of magazines each of FMJ and JHP and have to ask what improvements do the Nocturne's have? Reliability has always been 100%, the sights are fine as is the trigger, so a marketing ploy or actual improvement's? Example: I have carried a P-01 for 20 years and bought a P-01 Omega. Other than carrying one more round in the magazine I didn't notice any "gotta have" improvements. My old P-01 has a better trigger due to all the rounds through it. The CZ P-10C has the polymer advantage if you care for it, but all metal guns? I notice CZ dropped the View attachment 2637
P-01 Omega from their line. View attachment 2636

You’ve hit on a key point – sometimes the “upgrades” are more about fresh branding than genuine improvements. The Nocturne line’s changes (like the optic-ready slide, threaded barrel, and suppressor-height sights) are useful if you plan to run a red dot or can, but for irons and stock use, the classic P-09 already nails it.
Like your P-01 experience, wear-in often beats factory “upgrades.” My old P-09’s trigger smoothed out beautifully after 2K rounds – something no factory tune can replicate. Unless you need the threaded barrel or optic cut, save the cash for ammo.
