Can’t comment on the orange but the blue rocks out of the box. The finest double action pistol I’ve ever shot. Just sent it off to CGW for a slide milling since I acquired mine before you could get the optics option.

I like quality firearms and I've never owned a CZ. I'm trying to learn a bit more about them before I decide to buy one. I thought some experts might be willing to share some basic info about the CZ products. SStark036 provided some valuable comments and the type of general info I'm looking for.
I have not owned or shot a Shadow2 but I do own six other CZ pistols and love them. Notable pistols I do own are 2 CZ Tactical Sports in 9mm and one in 40 SW. I also just bought a CZ Czechmate. I also own a CZ97B, and an SP01 and a CZ97B. I like heavy steel pistols and I have large hands. The double stack CZs are the best fitting pistols for me. The triggers are very good but not the best out of the box, however if you do a trigger polish job on them and/or have CZCustom or Cajun do it and change out some parts, your will have a superb comp ready trigger. My preference is for range toys or competition pistols. I do not carry so issues of weight and coverage are not a concern. I’ve found all CZ’s to be very accurate pistols. The Tactical Sports SAO triggers are excellent right out of the box coming in at 1.5-2.25 lbs with pretty crisp breaks and they are adjustable for take up and reset. I would bet good money that you will be very happy shooting a Shadow 2 Orange or Blue but you might want to reach even further to the Tactical Sports models depending on the class you want to shoot.

Air gun Trigger Wood Gun barrel Gun accessory

So I got a Shadow 2 Optics Ready on a black friday sale and I still can't figure out what the OP wanted to know.

I'm a competitor, not a collector. I don't pay attention to how tightly the slide fits the frame, or how tightly the barrel fits the slide. I don't look at the finish under a microscope and I don't go looking for machining marks inside the pistol in surfaces that don't matter to function.

All I care about is that I can run this pistol faster and more accurately than any other I've ever had. I smash the shit out of the trigger because my grip allows me to do that, so I have no reason to spend money on aftermarket hammers, triggers, etc. A 12 lb hammer spring and grip panels that don't suck are the only two mods I've done to it and it's all I need to be able to run it accurately at speed.

18 rounds in the A zone shot as doubles with .22 - .24 splits at 15 yards is easy peasy.

Please don't worry about my original inquiry. Maybe it makes you feel better about yourself to keep taking shots at me. You obviously don't want to offer productive or helpful information. It seems my original impression of you was correct.

Others on the forum have been kind enough to try and help. I hope you enjoy your new pistol.

Thanks for your non-answer. I really don't know anything about CZ's and I was just looking for some general information about reliability, problems, accuracy, etc. You have a nice way of welcoming a new guy to the forum.
First, this is a gun forum which is a lot of unconnected people with all kinds of ideas facing all kinds of obstacles and situations every day of our lives.
Don't EXPECT too much! Toughen Up! We're all adults here and you are welcome to join us but please act like an adult.

Places for information...
LGS (local gun store) and ranges. Rent all the CZ 75s that are available and experience the differences.
Join a gun club and shoot everything that you can.
Talk you people at the LGS and range. Lots of people want conversations and will share.
CZ's various websites (USA, Custom, Europe)
Check websites that specialize in customizing CZ firearms. Cajun Gun Works is a good one, IMHO.
YouTube! has tons of videos on CZ products. The Honest Outlaw will give his opinions and comparisons. Others are how-to's, etc.
Watch other content for other firearms.
Read books on CZ -- history, use, etc.
Check GunBroker, Armslist, TacSwap, etc.
There are lots of resources and you have to look and research.
Lastly, post interesting and specific questions

Now, I answered your question nicely and gave you pointers on how to act.
Take what you liked and leave the rest.

Always consider replies with a small grain of salt. Some will be helpful, some irritating, some don’t apply. It’s just the way with online forums. Otherwise welcome to the forum. No doubt someone will be irritated that I’ve referred to this thing as a forum.

I came here looking for general information on Shadow 2 CZ's a few months ago. I don't need or want your advice on how to act on the internet. I'll just leave it.
