Spent a long weekend swapping stuff at an area gunshow. Got to go out to eat and booze a little. So that was o.k. Show was better than last month. More poeple. Maybe they got income tax returns.. Show was near North Padre Island/Corpus Christi area and it was cloudy/rainy for the first weekend of spring break. Probably helped people avoid the beach and come to the show instead. Unloaded a few that I got bored with and had enough $ to make a few buys.

I had been looking at guns all morning Saturday that people had brought in. Guy came by with a backpack. I had to stop his and make him open it. He had a Ruger MKII Target 7" Blue, LNIB for 4 bills. No dickering. Take it or leavit. I left it cause I have 3 anyway. Other gun was the like new Taurus. Said he had fired it maybe 15 times. It looked great and he only wanted 250. After some dickering, we settled on 2 bills. Stashed this one for me!!!!!

Got a couple of speed loaders for it and it went bang outside. It's much lighter than my S&W Model 60 in stainless. About like my old lightweight Colt Cobra tha I like to carry, but a bit smaller.

Next gun was one of two I got off a guy with another backpack dump out. I didn't care for his shotgun, so I asked how much for the pistols. He wanted 150 each for the Taurus .32 acp and the same for a HiPoint .360 witha box. Not bad on the Taurus, but high on the HiPoint. It was a both or nothing deal. So, Pancho "El Cheapo" had to lowball him at a bill fore the Taurus and 75 for the HiPoint.zjr qickly came down to a bill for each. We negotiated outr to 190 for the pair. Kept the little Taurus and dumpped the HiPoint on Sunday for a couple of bills. So I am into the Taurus for negative 10 bucks.

Last buy was Sunday, late. Guy and his wife came by with this HiPoint carbine in 9 mil. It has the newer tacticool stock which I liked. Even better a vertical foregrip with a laser light combo. The had tried to get the near 5 bills theyhad in all of it, but no iffers. they had already sold several hundred rounds of 9 mil at the door and had no use for the gun now. They were down to 3 bills for the whole setup and it was all like new. They had come by to get some of the hand made ruber band guns I sell for 19 bucks and need 4 of those. I gove them 2 options 2 bills cash for the gun or 160 csh and 4 rubber band guns. The wife told the guy to do it.

Keeping the carbine. I like the new style. I had the older ones, but didn't like the old stock. The guns have always been reliable. The fancy forend is coming off for sure. Got a nice forend/rail setup for my DPMS AR-15 and the nice forend laser/light cmbo will go on the AR. Probably put a cheapo Wally World laser on the HiPoint soon and a 4X scope.

My new AR Rail setup.

You did some good deals there. :)

Can't believe someone gave $200 for an HP .380. Mine was $80. Had to dump the sand out of it, but after a clean and lube, it runs great.:p

I won't gve that much for one either. Box had 169.00 on it which I blacked out. I have no trouble getting 2 bills for a like new one around here. Gunshops won't sell them and there are very few gunshops around, like mabe 4 in any direction for 70 miles. The [email protected] things sell like hotcakes when there is a dealer at a gunshow with any new ones. They sell out quick. It's about the only place you can get one.

Looks like you're gonna be our resident Taurus expert.
I like their revolvers. The auto pistols I really don't care for. I just swap alot of them cause other people like them. Gonna try the little PT-732 for a while and see what it does. I was advised the gun has alreday been discontinued.

Kinda wondering if the Taurus lifetime warranty no longer applies?

Taurus seems to change their guns and model #s, magazines, etc. more oftern than some people change their underwear.

First poly gun I ever had was a used PT-111 in 9 mil. DA only and a real PITA to field strip. Coming apart wasn't bad, just going back together. Had to assemble one for a guy at a table next to me at a gunshow. He stripped one to clean it after he bought it and could not reassemble it right. He had it in a box for several months. I just happened to buy a used .380 and he asked me about the strip sequence. I told him I din't do it cause of the trouble I had with one. He then showed me his problem gun and reassembled it for him. He was quite happy and sold it that day.:D
