What gun did you just buy?

On some other forums...forii... in some places on the net, this is a long running thread. Post whatever gun you just bought, pics are (sort of) required, bragging is acceptable, and stories about good deals, haggling wins, or sneaking past the wife are always in vogue.

My newest win...a Glock 20SF

I traded a scoped Delton AR for it.

Sounds dumb, right? $750 worth of AR and BSA Sweet .223 scope for a $500-600 gun?

Well, it wasn't, because the Glock came with 840 rounds of JHP ammo.
Also has upgraded steel recoil guide, fibre optic sights, and a Molon Labe rear slide cover.;)

A CZ 75 Compact. I've wanted one for over a year. I kept getting distracted with other guns for other reasons (survival shtf type guns, discounts or sales, influence from other forums...). But I realize that life is short and you should just get what you want. So, I finally ordered one and I can't wait to pick it up.

A bunch of us were discussing the TREND away from 40s&w. Why some police depts were leaving it. With many sheeple following blindly, as is the norm.
Not particularly a fan of the 40. But it is a very good modern cartridge. And 40 chambered used gun prices are depressed.
So i asked the guys in the know what 40s to look out for a great deal.
This was on their list.

Because it doesn't do anything better than 9X19 loaded with similar bullets and it adds unnecessary recoil and pistol wear.

Handgun cartridges don't generate enough bullet velocity to create stretch cavities that do any damage like rifle bullets do. All their damage is done by the bullet's diameter as it destroys only what it physically touches. The difference in diameter between .355" and .400" bullets is ridiculously small.

I immediately ignore any discussions of handgun bullets when the words "stopping power" and "hydrostatic shock" appear.
