Hello,
I'm sure this questioned gets asked alot so i apologize in advance...
If you can only have 1 CZ PISTOL which would you choose. I do not have the pleasure of owning a cz yet, but I'm in the market for one now. I'm sure most will tell me to go with the classic 75, and i probably will, but i love the way the modern versions look. I do want what ever i choose to be a "true" cz. Man, those shadow 2's are sexy though. I really would love feedback from you "veteran" CZ nuts. Especially if you've shot them all.

For me it would be either my 97B or a Pre-B. Most likely the pre-b as I grab it more often.

I have 6 CZ's and soon to be 7. I purchased a CZ 75 BD and it should be here next week sometime. My favorite by far is my CZ SP-01 Tact. This gun has approx 7500 rounds through it, and has a butter smooth trigger. The DA comes in 6 1/2# and the SA is 2 3/4# with the CGW 13# hammer spring. A very close second would be the CZ 97 BD"e".

P-01 - It's the perfect combination of concealability, capacity, and control. If I can only own one CZ, it's got to do it all. The P-01 does it all.

It would depend on your intended use of course, like golf clubs the hole and your handicap play into the choice. Being sexy is not the top of the list I would think if the gun is for serious work to keep you alive, but for play there are no rules!

If you want to own one to keep you alive in a hot scene, then the CZ P-10 C is the gun to go to. If you want a sexy gun for other reasons, then the P-10 C may not be your go to gun! In that case a custom 1911 may be the best choice!!!

Shadow 2 hands down. I’ve restored a pre-B, own a TSO and built a SP-01 for USPSA production. Out of all of those, the Shadow 2 is just a straight a blast. And there’s still a lot of room for upgrades.

Shooting them all by an unknown person only has value when they are shot by someone with the skillsets, and experience to make a detail report regarding the performance of the gun in comparison to others, even non-CZ firearms. If you asked folks what stock car would be better, would you value the opine of Richard Petty or your uncle Joe who drives his 1969 Chevy Nova? The gun world is the same, everyone with a checkbook or credit card can buy a gun, but are they of the level where their opinion would sway the choice of your personal preference in which weapon you would trust your life to in a life and death scenario. A lot of folks here on the internet are Uncle Joe, and some are Jeff Gordon, and you have to have the skills to know the difference before buying a gun unless money or safety is not an issue!

You will hear some say, "here is my EDC or the gun I carry!" Someone saying that means nothing, as carrying a gun is like wearing pants, everyone here does that, so a little separation from someone who not only CARRIES, but can shoot, knows when to shoot, and knows who to shoot if they should shoot at all. If they do shoot, they hit where they want it to go, under life and death stress in a volatile situation ... not an easy task in the real world! A high percentage will recommend their gun to validate that they are smart enough to have made the best choice! Like all the competitors at an event in the winter Olympics, they all feel they are right, but you may notice that ONLY ONE PERSON STANDS ALONE WEARING GOLD.

Find that man or women, and ask again!

You need to decide what you're going to use it for. Race gun, competition, informal range shooting and carry, carry only. Do you need a rail?
I have no use for a rail. I shoot competitively, and informally, and carry. I own 6 CZ's and my favorite go-to is the 75b-compact,great range gun, great ergonomics, all steel,so recoil is light, carries well in an inside the belt holster with sweat shield. Nice action out of the box, but I installed CGW pro kit (because I'm obsessive) and Meprolite 17777 tritium front sight. This is a fantastic side arm. Everyone I've let shoot it, bought one. Try it, you'll like it. PB

I just picked up the steel frame P01 last week. My only dilemma is to keep it stick or cajunize it. Tough choice

Without a question of doubt, a CZ 91245 Shadow 2 SAO with a 3# pull. Haven't tried any of the new 75 TS2 as yet, but will do the Racing Green one when it comes into my area.
