On some other forums...forii... in some places on the net, this is a long running thread. Post whatever gun you just bought, pics are (sort of) required, bragging is acceptable, and stories about good deals, haggling wins, or sneaking past the wife are always in vogue.

My newest win...a Glock 20SF

I traded a scoped Delton AR for it.

Sounds dumb, right? $750 worth of AR and BSA Sweet .223 scope for a $500-600 gun?

Well, it wasn't, because the Glock came with 840 rounds of JHP ammo.
Also has upgraded steel recoil guide, fibre optic sights, and a Molon Labe rear slide cover.;)

Shhhh. Wifey doesn't know these are in the safe yet. Labor Day sales were too good to pass up. I was looking for a plinker, and I did a lot of research on the Taurus TX22 Gen 2. PSA had this one on sale with 3x 16rd and 2x 21rd clips for $250.
The CZ P-09F had very good reviews as well. So again, there's one in the safe now. I haven't ruled out Cajun-izing the trigger. Many of the reviews say the trigger warms up the more rounds that goes through it, turning it into a less than 6lb trigger. if that happens, I won't do the Cajun conversion. Found it at a gun store going out of business for $489 new. It comes equipped with 2x 19rd mags and a DA/SA platform.
I have one more arriving at my FFL tomorrow. The Beretta APX A1 Tactical. Again, a lot of research went into this one too. My preferred firearm is a full-size flat shooter with a high round capacity and large accessory capability. The Beretta checked all the boxes. It comes with 3x 21rd mags, threaded barrel, and optics cut slide. After the $75 Beretta rebate, I will be in for $359 on this firearm. I'll try to post again on their performance after a day at the range.

I was able to get out to the range with the Beretta APX A1 FS, CZ P09F Nocturne, and the TX22 gen2. The TX22 is a lot of fun. Not a single issue. The CZ was as advertised; a flat accurate shooter out of the box. The Beretta gave me a mag issue (21rd). Not only are they extremely hard to load, but the spring nearly popped out of the mag frame. I also didn’t care for the suppressor height sights with no dots. It was inaccurate out of the box. It is a smooth shooter, but I bought a Vortex green dot for it that arrived today. Now I have to buy the mounting plate from Beretta. I expect to be satisfied after the Vortex is mounted.

I always thought the PPK/S were pretty cool little pistols. Very nice one you have actually made in Germany. I had an American made one back in the late 80's. I have medium sized hands and I really needed that magazine with the finger extension to properly get a decent grip. I never had any issues with the so-called slide bite, but, I hated that ridiculous, super long, super heavy DA trigger pull. It was accurate because of the fixed barrel. But, that DA trigger was so bad I sold it.

My latest is a Hammerli Force B1 22 rifle. Straight pull toggle link action, easy swap barrel to go to 22 Mag, except you can’t buy another barrel, and uses Ruger mags with an adapter for 22 L…which are also vapor ware, but it comes with three, so…ok.

Had to refinish due to removing finish trying to get the sticker residue off.
Before, and after with a light walnut stain and BLO.

I just ordered one yesterday. Probably won't have it for another 7-10 days based on past experience with Palmetto. Great price. I had a Tanfoglio many years ago and sold it unfortunately. Thought I'd add this it my "metal pistol" collection, which is 90% 1911s.

What has been your experience with your SAR 2000?

Doug
It’s been reliable and accurate. Great addition!

I just bought a CZ 2075 RAMI, it is to be delivered to my FFL guy today for me to pickup either this evening or tomorrow morning. Look forward to getting it to the range.

Just got a P-01 and a question popped into the brain...when using the Plus two bases on the 15 round mags, there's a small gap between the mag baseplate and the grip...maybe 1/8". Is there a magwell available that would fill that gap?

Sorry to the OP as we are WAAAY off topic

I get it but sadly and truly this country is split down the middle. I don’t see a choice but there to be a reset … what will that look like and will it be in my lifetime is my question. The tragedy of Charley Kirk has even some the Left saying WTF

again I apologize to the OP

Oh there's a reset coming and a choice to be made with it and very soon and the two sides will be joining in to bring it [two wings....]...Hope everyone thinks VERY hard about it.

I did just buy an H&R 686 with two cylinders.

The latest here is a 1916 production DWM P-08 pistol. All numbers match, to include the magazine. It came with a late war hard shell holster in quite decent shape with the multi-tool in its pocket, but no spare magazine. After Hoppe's turned patches good and green the bore cleaned up beautifully. All in all, a well cared for service pistol in good working order. Es gefällt mir
